The nominations submitted each year continue to showcase the truly outstanding individuals we have living in the Singleton community,” she said.

The awards are a fantastic way to thank and publically showcase the wonderful people that give so much to make Singleton the great place it is.

I am delighted that we have received such a broad cross-section of inspiring nominations and I want to thank the members of our community who took the time to submit a nomination, and to also congratulate every single nominee for the hard work they put in to make a difference.

Whether it be through voluntary efforts or professional skills, our nominees are creating change, improving lives and making our world a better place.

I look forward to presenting the awards on Australia Day, and also celebrating with the entire community at our latest community event, Twilight, on Friday 25 January on the Civic Green.”

The Singleton Citizen of the Year and Young Achieve recipients will be announced at the official Australia Day ceremony on 26 January 2019 at the Singleton Civic Centre.
