Residents are asked to complete a short survey to help Resilience NSW gain a deeper understanding into how disaster-ready the community is, and what can be done to improve preparedness for disasters.
Resilience NSW (also Office of Emergency Management) is piloting the Regional Disaster Preparedness Program (RDPP).
The RDPP will focus on increasing the capacity and resilience of local councils and communities to prevent, prepare, respond and recover from natural disaster events.
The RDPP will be delivered across Canberra, Mid Coast and Hunter regions.
A survey will be conducted three times over a two-year period by Elton Consulting on behalf of Resilience NSW and form part of a larger evaluation study about residents’ understanding of disaster preparedness in a community and region.
