Burton Automotive Hunter Valley Steamfest organisers have reimagined the event to bring the sights and sounds of the historic steam era onto the Internet.

The physical event was cancelled last month in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, organisers will present a virtual event at 10 am tomorrow (Saturday, 18 April 2020). It will stream live via the Hunter Valley Steamfest Facebook page and the Steamfest web page.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to engage with our community and bring Steamfest alive under the current circumstances,” said Events Officer Tori Evans.

An estimated 50,000 people attend Burton Automotive Hunter Valley Steamfest each year, but this year, we have the opportunity to reach many more online.

To bring this iconic event to life alongside our event sponsor Burton Automotive and partners ARTC, Transport Heritage NSW, Transport NSW and Kings Engineering, is just one way we can bring joy to our community during these difficult times.”

More details about the virtual Steamfest program will be published on facebook.com/huntervalleysteamfest and the Steamfest web page. where the event will be streamed live from 10.00am on Saturday 18 April.
