Students from Warners Bay High School have had wins in the prestigious national Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize for three years out of four.

Tamara Schier won the Year 9 –10 category in 2010, and Wanagi Zable-Andrews won the same category in 2009.
Principal Dr Sharon Parkes congratulated Alex on his win, which carries prize money of $5000.
There are two constants in our school’s connection with the Moran Prize,” said Dr Parkes.
These are the creativity and skill of our students, and the passion and commitment of our visual arts staff, including Trudy Farmer, Head Teacher Creative and Performing Arts, and Donna Pfister who assisted Alex with his entry and artwork.”
Finalists for the 2012 Moran Prizes were drawn from a record field of 330,409 entries. Moran Prizes is the world’s wealthiest art prize with a combined total of AUD$300,000 in monies and prizes awarded to winners and finalists.
Judge of the 2012 Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize is respected international photographer,
Graham Howe, CEO of Curatorial Assistance and founding director of the Australian Centre for Photography.
